These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of SecureNtow's website and training services. By accessing our website or enrolling in our courses, you agree to be bound by these terms.
Please read these terms carefully before using our services. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not access our website or use our services.
1. Definitions
- "Services" refers to cyber security training courses, programs, and related educational services provided by SecureNtow
- "User," "You," or "Your" means any person accessing our website or using our services
- "Content" includes all text, images, course materials, videos, and other materials available through our services
- "We," "Us," or "Our" refers to SecureNtow
- "Agreement" means these Terms of Service and any additional terms applicable to specific services
2. Eligibility and Account Requirements
Age Requirement
You must be at least 18 years old to use our services. By accessing our website or enrolling in courses, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older and have the legal capacity to enter into this Agreement.
Account Registration
When registering for courses, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain and promptly update your account information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
3. Use of Services
Permitted Use
Our training services are provided for:
- Professional development and career advancement purposes
- Learning defensive security techniques and methodologies
- Practicing in authorized training environments only
- Personal educational purposes within ethical boundaries
Training Environment Access
Lab environments and training systems are provided solely for educational purposes. Access is granted during enrollment periods and may be extended for reasonable practice. All activities in lab environments are logged and monitored for security and ethical compliance.
4. Prohibited Activities
You may not use our services to:
- Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
- Conduct unauthorized security testing or attacks on systems outside training environments
- Share, distribute, or resell course materials without written permission
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
- Transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful software
- Harass, threaten, or harm other users or instructors
- Engage in fraudulent activities or misrepresent your identity
- Use automated systems to access or scrape content without authorization
- Interfere with or disrupt the operation of our services
- Use skills acquired for illegal or unauthorized purposes outside training environments
Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate termination of access, legal action, and reporting to law enforcement authorities.
5. Intellectual Property Rights
Our Content
All content provided through our services, including course materials, videos, documentation, lab configurations, and training methodologies, are owned by SecureNtow or our licensors and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use course materials solely for personal educational purposes during your enrollment. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works, publicly display, or otherwise exploit our content without written permission.
User-Generated Content
If you submit projects, assignments, or other content as part of training, you retain ownership of your work. However, you grant us a non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, and display your submissions for educational and quality assurance purposes within our programs.
Third-Party Content
Our courses may reference or incorporate third-party tools, software, and documentation. Use of such third-party content is subject to their respective licenses and terms. We do not claim ownership of third-party intellectual property.
6. Payment Terms and Refund Policy
Course Fees
Course fees are stated in Singapore Dollars (SGD) and must be paid before accessing course materials and lab environments. We accept payment through secure payment processors and offer installment plans for courses exceeding SGD 2,000. SkillsFuture credits are accepted for eligible Singapore residents.
Refund Policy
Refunds are available under the following conditions:
- Full refund if cancellation occurs more than 14 days before course start date
- 50% refund if cancellation occurs 7-14 days before course start date
- No refund for cancellations less than 7 days before start date or after course begins
- Course transfers to future sessions allowed with 30 days notice
Refund requests must be submitted in writing to our enrollment team. Processing takes 7-10 business days.
Corporate Training
Corporate training packages are subject to separate agreements with customized payment terms, cancellation policies, and service levels negotiated individually.
7. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
Services Provided "As Is"
Our services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. While we strive for high-quality training, we make no warranties regarding specific outcomes, certification success, or job placement.
No Guarantee of Results
While our training programs prepare students for professional certifications and security roles, we cannot guarantee certification exam passage, job placement, or specific career outcomes. Student success depends on individual effort, prior experience, and external factors beyond our control.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SecureNtow shall not be liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
- Damages arising from misuse of acquired skills or knowledge
- Third-party claims resulting from your actions
Our total liability for any claims shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific course giving rise to the claim.
User Responsibility
You assume all risks associated with using security tools and techniques learned through our training. You are solely responsible for ensuring your activities comply with applicable laws and obtaining proper authorization before conducting security testing outside training environments.
8. Termination
Termination by You
You may terminate your enrollment subject to the refund policy outlined in Section 6. Termination requests must be submitted in writing to our enrollment team.
Termination by Us
We may suspend or terminate your access immediately, without refund, if you:
- Violate these Terms of Service or applicable policies
- Engage in prohibited activities or unethical behavior
- Fail to make required payments
- Provide false information or misrepresent your identity
Effects of Termination
Upon termination, your access to course materials and lab environments will be revoked immediately. Provisions regarding intellectual property, confidentiality, and liability limitations survive termination.
9. Dispute Resolution
Informal Resolution
Before pursuing formal dispute resolution, we encourage you to contact us to seek an informal resolution. Most disputes can be resolved quickly through direct communication with our team.
Mediation
If informal resolution is unsuccessful, disputes shall be submitted to mediation before a mutually agreed mediator in Singapore. Mediation costs shall be shared equally between parties.
Arbitration and Jurisdiction
If mediation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with Singapore Arbitration Rules. This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of Singapore, and parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of Singapore courts.
10. General Provisions
Entire Agreement
These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy and any course-specific terms, constitute the entire agreement between you and SecureNtow regarding use of our services.
Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be notified through email or prominent website notices. Continued use of services after changes constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
Severability
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. Unenforceable provisions shall be modified to reflect the parties' intent to the maximum extent permitted by law.
No Waiver
Our failure to enforce any provision of these terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision or our right to enforce it in the future.
Assignment
You may not assign or transfer your rights under these terms without our written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
